Lowcountry author Pat Branning and watercolor artist Sandra W. Roper will team up and be at the recently opened Old Town Bluffton Inn Saturday, April 13 during the annual “Taste of Bluffton” Street Festival for a book signing and art exhibition.
Author Pat Branning will be signing her latest new coffee tabletop book “Southern Traditions” Volume lll of her popular Shrimp, Collards and Grits Southern lifestyles edition. “Southern Traditions” captures the essence of coastal Southeast living with extraordinary stories and images. Visit charming destinations, taste award winning chef’s favorite dishes and home cooks’ culinary treasures. Enjoy meals toasted with superb wines from every corner of the globe and present vibrant table designs for every occasion. Each exquisite photo and painting is an inspiration. Pat Branning’s bestselling books have been a source of pleasure, education and inspiration for thousands of readers over the years.

Sandra will feature her latest paintings representing local scenes including oyster shuckers, shrimpers, crab pickers, sweet grass basket weavers, etc. Sandra tries to preserve the traditions of the South and the passion for their way of life. The handling of the lighting is especially important in these paintings. The crack of dawn, dimly lit room or late night hours further illustrate the workers’ dedication to their work or tradition. Sandra is part owner of Lowcountry Artists Gallery in downtown Historic Charleston. Her work is displayed in numerous galleries and corporate locations throughout the southeast.
