Author: CH2 Press Release

Bluffton, SC – Hospice Care of the Lowcountry is proud to be a part of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization’s “We Honor Veterans” program. They are the first hospice in Beaufort County to attain a Level Three designation which entails the development of strong relationships with VA Medical Centers and veteran organizations to ensure veterans receive the best possible end-of-life care. The four WHV levels were established to recognize the exemplary work of organizations that demonstrate leadership and significantly contribute to the development of quality care for Veterans.
“Partnerships are only as strong as the commitment of the individuals involved” says Executive Director Jenny Brasington “the staff has worked diligently with a number of VA and other healthcare and county agencies. Veteran volunteers have spent hours training, sharing their time and stories with our Veteran patients and families. Our work with this program enables our staff and volunteers to enhance the quality care and services that we provide to Veterans every day. We are proud to be a part of such an exemplary program.”
