Over 100 women compete for Celebrate Hilton Head magazine’s Bachelorette of the Year

Party to kick off contest, narrow the field
Hilton Head Island, SC—On Thursday, October 25, Celebrate Hilton Head magazine will host a party to select the top ten contestants out of over 100 nominees for Bachelorette of the Year. The party takes place at Reilley’s Plaza (a.k.a. The Triangle) on Hilton Head Island from 8-11 p.m. and is open to the public. Vote for your favorite contestant at Reilley’s Grill & Bar the night of the party. The ten finalists, to be announced at the end of the evening, will be featured in the December issue of CH2, at which time the public will be invited to vote.
The party theme is “Bridesmaids.” Festivities include a costume contest and scavenger hunt. Winners will be announced at 10:30 p.m. on stage at Hilton Head Brewing Company, with prizes as follows: $500 for the best bridal party; $100 for the best bridezilla; $200 for the best bride and groom; $200 for the worst bridesmaid outfit; and over $500 in cash and prizes for scavenger hunt winners. In addition, a bouquet toss will be held at the outside bar of One Hot Mama’s at 10 p.m. with a $300 prize to the lucky girl who catches the flowers.
Throughout the evening, a complimentary photo booth will be open at The Lodge and local band Cranford and Sons will provide live music at the Boardroom. The first 100 people to check-in ( between 8-9pm) with the CH2 team at Jump & Phil’s will receive a free cocktail.
Since 2006, CH2 has sponsored an annual Bachelor of the Year contest. This year, it’s the ladies’ turn to compete. The Bachelorette of the Year receives $5,000 and will be featured on the cover of the January 2013 edition of CH2.
