Author: CH2 Press Release
The sixth annual Hilton Head/Savannah Equestrian Exposition has announced its beneficiaries for the 2010 event, which will be held Sunday, March 21 at Rose Hill Plantation. Since its inception six years ago over $150,000 has been raised for charity.
Beneficiaries for the 2010 event include: The American Diabetes Association Regional Chapter; Bluffton Historical Preservation Society; Gullah Museum of Hilton Head Island; The Heritage Library; Heroes On Horseback; Savannah College of Art & Design Equestrian Program and Saint Gregory the Great Ministries. Members of these organizations sell sponsorships, program ads and tickets to the event, with proceeds from their sales directly benefiting their individual charity. The event this year will be held in association with the Knights of Columbus Cardinal Bernardini Council #12263.
Says event organizer, Dr. Sandy Termotto, “ Lowcountry horsemen maintain their majestic mounts not only for personal pleasure but also to make the public aware of the equestrian lifestyle and its role in funding charitable causes in the regional community. We hope businesses and individuals will support our beneficiaries in their efforts to raise funds for these worthwhile organizations.”
The event features polo, barrel racing, jumping, fox hunting demonstration, dressage, carriage driving and flat racing.
