Q:You are the starring role in one movie already made- what movie would you pick, and which actor would play you? A: Everyone will write “Rudy”…but that is a very good choice because I have had to work very hard for everything I have.

Q: If you could have a super natural power what would it be and why?
A: I would find some magical way to use my journalism degree (that made me millions) or a magical language filter, so that when I talk to girls I don’t sound like such an idiot.

Q: If you could steal one thing in the world without getting caught what would you take?
A: Um. I would take the hunger away from starving children. How’s that for ducking the question?

Q: What would you have named yourself, if you had the option?
A: Formula: All-American first name + state/ city for last name = B.A.M.F. Example: Joe Montana. Johnny Knoxville. Maybe Billy Colorado? Tim Dakota? Jimmy Nevada?

Q: Which 1 year of your life would you relive and why?
A: I haven’t had my best years yet! Ask again in ten more.

Q: If you just won CH2’ Bachelor of the Year who is the first person you would call? (This is a trick question, you have to keep it a secret until the magazine comes out January 1,2010)
A: Probably my ex from college who left me for that guy that played guitar at the bars. (Ask: How did that work out for ya?)

Q: What is your favorite thing to watch on TV? What is your least favorite thing to watch on TV? (Be specific. Example: If Sports are your favorite pick a one. If Reality TV is your least favorite pick a show.)
A: I am a news junkie so probably cable news. I am pretty sure that shows like “The Hills” are signs of the coming apocalypse.

Q: What would your entrance music be?
A: “Panama” by Van Halen, because it is BY FAR the greatest 80s Metal Song about a Central American Nation.

Q: If you could be famous for something you don’t currently do what would it be?
A: Winning the Lottery and giving it all away. I think about that all the time. Would be fun and help out a lot of great causes.

About Us

In September of 2006, Celebrate Hilton Head (CH2) burst onto the scene with a fresh perspective on Hilton Head Island, Bluffton and the surrounding Low Country. At the helm was a team of young women (all under 30!) with no experience whatsoever in the publishing industry. The first year they made up the rules as they went along. CH2 (and CB2 – Celebrate Bluffton and Beyond), now entering their third year , has evolved into a well-respected publication with over 150 advertisers and a distribution to over 47,000 locals and visitors each month.

Content ranges from Interesting Islander profiles and arts and entertainment pieces to food and wine topics and Hilton Head and Bluffton Business Profiles. CH2’s Bachelor of the Year Contest has blossomed into a greatly anticipated media event every year with viral marketing (i.e., Facebook, MySpace) contributing to the annual readership of those issues pertaining to the contest and over 700 people attending the Bachelor of the Year party held every October held at a local Hilton Head or Bluffton entertainment spot.

CH2 strives to give back to the community in which they have been so successful by sponsoring charitable events in both Hilton Head Island and Bluffton (Bluffton’s MayFest, put on by the Bluffton Rotary), donating editorial space to worthy organizations (Bold Strokes, Volunteers in Medicine, March of Dimes), and making the Hilton Head Island Rec Center the recipient of monies raised in conjunction with the Bachelor of the Year Contest.
