Well Grounded: CFDSI rolls out the Red Carpet for Customers

His family has made a living in the Oriental rug business since 1901. He sold his first rug at the age of seven. And, according to Nasser Shaheen of Commercial Flooring and Design Services, Inc. (CFDSI), the foundation of his company’s success is “setting realistic expectations to insure a prospective buyer will become a lifelong friend.”
CFDSI is a local, family-owned and operated business. Since the company was incorporated in October, 1989, CFDSI has made a commitment to superior products and services. “We have managed consistent, sustained growth by putting our customers’ needs first,” explained Shaheen. “Presently, we offer the full array of interior floor finishes, including area rugs, carpet, hardwood, laminates, porcelain tile, natural stone and luxury vinyl, to name a few. Our future will be determined by our clients’ evolving preferences.”
The impetus behind establishing the business was a direct result of Shaheen’s passion for the profession. As consumer flooring choices changed, CFDSI was the first store in the market area to offer a complete line of ceramic and porcelain products along with carpet and hardwood. “Putting quality as our first priority, we are finding the extreme home makeover customers are opting to remodel homes, enjoying the improvements themselves as well as enhancing value,” said Shaheen.
Keeping selections current, Shaheen literally rolls out the red carpet for his clients—along with the black, white or neutral choices. Trends include natural finishes in virtually all species of exotic hardwoods. Natural to medium stains are most popular for the domestic hardwoods. Porcelain tile is also popular for its low-maintenance and ease of upkeep in beach-oriented properties. In soft floor coverings, Stainmaster carpets are the number one choice of consumers today.
According to Shaheen, CFDSI strives to maintain an honest approach to achieve customer’s goals. “Consistent pursuit of quality workmanship that will stand the test of time is the true objective,” he said.
