April 2017 Editor's Note

I always wait until the last possible minute to put my thoughts on paper regarding the latest issue of CH2 and CB2. The reason is, in part, my undying devotion to procrastination. But mostly, it’s because I want to see the magazine put together in its entirety before I pontificate on its virtues. I have to say that the April issue is overflowing with information on real estate.
Business is booming on Hilton Head Island again—and property is selling within days (and sometimes hours) of being listed. Recently, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) announced that January 2017 was the best January in the past 10 years, with sales growth of 3.3 percent. What does this mean for you? Before interest rates and prices spike further, now may be a good time to buy. This issue features qualified, career Realtors who can help you do just that. Starting on page 85, we get to know some of them.
In my experience with all sorts of clients at the magazine, some of my favorite conversations have been the ones I’ve had with local Realtors. By nature, they are friendly, eager to help and extremely knowledgeable about the area. What starts as a quick headshot in our studio often turns to an hour-long conversation as we chat about all things Lowcountry. Realtors have a pulse on what’s going on, and I love listening to their insights.
This issue also includes a lot of fashion. It’s time to break out the sundresses and Southern Tide for the RBC Heritage presented by Boeing, and we have plenty of inspiration (for men and women) for what to sport to the tournament!
Have a beautiful April my friends. See you in Sea Pines!
