Dr. Carmen Traywick returned to her home state of South Carolina in 2009 to open May River Dermatology, LLC in Bluffton. Her mission was to become the premier provider of dermatologic services in the Lowcountry. She clearly understood and valued the importance of providing patients with personal, timely, and professional care. In order to fulfill her mission she created a practice that is welcoming to patients and thankful and honored for the trust each patient places in her and her staff. She continually works with her staff to recognize that the experience for a patient starts from the first phone call, progresses through the visit, and is ongoing through the follow-up care. Providing great care through all aspects of a patient’s experience is why her practice was recently voted Best Dermatology Office* for 2011.

Dr. Traywick is a graduate of Emory Medical School in Atlanta, Georgia and completed her Internship and Dermatology Residency at Emory University School of Medicine. She is also board certified by the American Board of Dermatology.

Dr. Traywick lives in the Bluffton area and has two daughters. Her husband, Bernie Traywick, is the Practice Administrator for May River Dermatology, LLC.

Having fun! Best describes us at Nash Gallery. Gearing up for our 20th year on Hilton Head, (10 as Trilogy, 10 as Nash Gallery) in 2012, I can’t help but wonder: What does it take for a business to last 10 years? Twenty? Longer? It’s true that longevity is not the only measure of business success, but a lot can be learned from persevering over a long period of time-lessons taught only through the ups and downs of experience. One common thread: it’s important to be adaptable and never stop learning. This is especially true when the economy goes through dramatic changes as it has over the last few years. Often, harder times force business owners to look much more closely at what’s working and what’s not, to find better solutions to problems, and to pay closer attention to what customers really want. It may not feel like it at the time, but this is a good thing. It makes you smarter, your business leaner, and your products and services more desirable.

Nash Gallery has been a family owned and operated business since 1992 on Hilton Head Island, beginning first as Trilogy Gallery. Our longevity has much to do with our returning visitors each year and with our loyal local customer base. Local businesses cannot survive without local support; we thank you for that!

So…how long can a business endure? Nash Gallery, with your support, will continue to showcase a sophisticated collection of extraordinary work by America’s finest craft artists for at least the next 20 years! We’re going to give you glass, ceramics, jewelry, metal, etc. It’s going to be interesting, different, functional and artistic! I am proud to be an American businesswoman, living in Hilton Head, SC and selling products made in the USA! Come in; let’s have some fun!

Thank you Celebrate for honoring women in business, it was the perfect opportunity for us to show our appreciation to two dedicated employees at Bruno Landscape and Nursery. Our nursery girls are not just co-workers they are family. They have both been with us for many years, Sherry actually has been with us from about the time we opened the nursery in 2000. Gary went to an appointment at her house and was impressed with her work and knowledge, he asked if she was interested in a job and she has been with us ever since.

A few years later LeAnn came on board. Our girls are terrific with our customers, and extremely helpful with everything. Sherry will greet you with her southern “hey ya’ll, how can I help you?” LeeAnn will tell you just what you need with her no nonsense way (years of being a nurse) They have an eye for beauty in the outdoors and they are more than happy to share it with anyone who comes into the nursery.
