Nominations Are Now Open for CH2's Bachelor of 2012

Celebrate Hilton Head’s Bachelor of 2012 Contest Rules & Regulations

The Rules:
1.) You must be a man over 21 years old.
2.) You must be single. (No girlfriend. No wife.)
3.) You must be willing to have fun for a good cause.
4.) You must accept $5000 if you win. We don’t care what you do with it.
5.) You must be on the cover of CH2’s January 2012 issue if you win.

This year’s theme for the Bachelor of the Year party is “The Sixties!” Stay tuned for more contest and party info next month!”

Eligible bachelors must be at least 21 and SINGLE to participate. Participating contestants must sign photo release form and agree to participate in scheduled photo shoot and all Bachelor Events pertaining to the contest. Entries must be received by September 10, 2011. Bachelors will be rated by the 2012 Bachelor Judging Committee of Single Women based on appearance, personality, lifestyle, personal motivation and individuality. Ten finalists will be announced on October 27, 2011 at the Bachelor Party at Wild Wing Cafe and be featured in the December issue of Celebrate Hilton Head and readers will have 10 days to vote on their favorite bachelor. Winner receives $5000 in CASH and his face on the cover of CH2’s January issue! 2nd Place receives $1000. All 8 remaining bachelors receive $100 a piece for placing in the Top 10.

About Us

In September of 2006, Celebrate Hilton Head (CH2) burst onto the scene with a fresh perspective on Hilton Head Island, Bluffton and the surrounding Low Country. At the helm was a team of young women (all under 30!) with no experience whatsoever in the publishing industry. The first year they made up the rules as they went along. CH2 (and CB2 – Celebrate Bluffton and Beyond), now entering their third year , has evolved into a well-respected publication with over 150 advertisers and a distribution to over 47,000 locals and visitors each month.

Content ranges from Interesting Islander profiles and arts and entertainment pieces to food and wine topics and Hilton Head and Bluffton Business Profiles. CH2’s Bachelor of the Year Contest has blossomed into a greatly anticipated media event every year with viral marketing (i.e., Facebook, MySpace) contributing to the annual readership of those issues pertaining to the contest and over 700 people attending the Bachelor of the Year party held every October held at a local Hilton Head or Bluffton entertainment spot.

CH2 strives to give back to the community in which they have been so successful by sponsoring charitable events in both Hilton Head Island and Bluffton (Bluffton’s MayFest, put on by the Bluffton Rotary), donating editorial space to worthy organizations (Bold Strokes, Volunteers in Medicine, March of Dimes), and making the Hilton Head Island Rec Center the recipient of monies raised in conjunction with the Bachelor of the Year Contest.
