The student art exhibition presents art by students grades three through 12 in an exciting gallery setting. The Promising Picassos program was designed to showcase student talent and encourage continued studies in the arts. Presented by The Island School Council for the Arts (ISCA).

The Notre Dame Club of HHI’s Twelfth Annual Golf Outing
Monday, April 6, Shotgun tee-off at 1:30 PM
It is open to all Friends of Notre Dame and no handicap score is required. The format is a shotgun tee-off at 1:30 p.m. using a best ball scramble format, thus allowing players of all skill levels to participate and enjoy what will be a delightful day. Individual and team prizes will be awarded. Cocktails and dinner will follow the golf, accompanied by additional prizes. Proceeds from the outing benefit the Notre Dame Club of Hilton Head’s Scholarship Fund for deserving students from here in the Lowcountry.

The Verizon Heritage PGA Tournament

Tickets are selling fast for the 41st Annual Verizon Heritage Golf Tournament. This year’s tournament will be held April 13–19, 2009 at Harbour Town Golf Links at The Sea Pines Resort. Daily ticket packages (exclusive to chamber members) and practice round badges are available at all three Chamber locations along with the newly introduced Arnold Palmer passes.

Spend Easter Sunday with your family and friends on board a riverboat! Join River Street Riverboat Company for their annual Easter Sunday Brunch. This 1 1/2 hour cruise features Savannah’s best breakfast and lunch entrees – a meal to satisfy everyone. Art Market at Honey Horn

Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn.
Artwork in several medias; as clay, wood, fibers, metals, glass, jewelry, watercolors, oil, mixed media and photography will be on display and for sale. Artists will be competing for prizes totaling $5,000. Demonstrations through out the weekend will be held in various media. Street Meet, an American Take Out and Tavern, will have food and beverages for sale during the event.

World Tai Chi and Qigong Day

Got stress? Get relief! On the last Saturday of April each year, the entire world is invited to move together—to breathe together. Now, you can participate right here on Hilton Head Island. Join the crowd at Jarvis Creek Park for ongoing Qigong practice groups and Tai Chi demonstrations. Pick up literature and information about the health benefits of these ancient practices while making new friends and feeling the wave of healing energy. Admission is free. No experience necessary.
