We know what we are, but know not what we may be. ”—William Shakespeare

Tired of the same do? Bored with the same look? Ready for a better relationship with the mirror? All About Me to the rescue.

To creatively kick off the fall season, Celebrate teamed up with salon, All About Me, in hopes of restoring male and female hopes alike… We had a makeover! So you’re probably thinking, “Just another salon, just another expensive service…”or “Looks great now, but how about when I have a run in with humidity?” Well to that we say, a little optimism is always intriguing and… we have proof. Allow yourself a moment to be open minded. All About Me really is a salon worth trying, not only for their cutting edge services, convenient location and cool stylists but also because…. THEY REALLY CAN HELP!

All About Me took three lucky victims, considered their “look” concerns, and went to work. Pulling from their talented staff and taking into consideration each woman’s likes and dislikes, All About Me shows us what they can do.

Exhibit A: Carson
Age: 20
Occupation: college student
Last time she felt pretty: Fourth of July
First pet’s name: Savannah
“Look” complaints: skin tone uneven and hard to balance with redness, “I really like my hair!” [But she was willing to try something new!]

What they did…

Hair: Carson’s cut went from a shoulder-length basic do to a shorter, chin-length style with an angled smaller layer around her face. Stylists took into account her face structure and hair texture to create a younger and edgier look. A curling iron was used to create Carson’s loose waves. Her color went from a light brown to a medium chocolate brown to add dimension and bring out the lightness in her eyes.

Makeup: Carson’s makeup was done with a natural approach, something she could achieve day-to-day. Carson’s thoughts on her new look:
“I love my new haircolor! I was really hesitant to make a change because I like to be able to throw it in a pony tail and just be done with it. But I’m very happy with my color and cut, and I think I will maintain it for a while. I really trusted the girls at the salon, and I knew they wouldn’t do anything I wouldn’t like. I also really loved the waves. I’ve never been able to do that on my own, and now I have a really cool look for going out! All in all, I am really happy with the outcome; my friends didn’t even recognize me.”

Exhibit B: Tricia

Co-owners, Rebecca and Rachel started with the idea that a little pampering can go a long way. Partners for over six years, and co-workers for 10-plus years, both ladies had a vision to really create something different and special. “We wanted a place that could offer great services but also something that really made people feel comfortable,” said Rebecca. Established in 2000, All About Me is a full-service day salon located right off Palmetto Bay Road in the Village Exchange. Services include hair color and styling, manicures and pedicures, massage, facials and full service wedding styling. The salon’s boutique also sells unique jewelry and fun accessories, from local jewelers and New York designers.

With a recent remodeling in February, the salon is anything but dated. In fact, Rachel is excited to announce that hair extensions are a new addition to the salon’s menu. Both owners strive to keep a youthful and professional staff that can meet the needs of both younger and older clients. “We try to stay as cutting-edge as possible,” said Rachel. “Our clients include every age range, and no one leaves here dissatisfied.”

The salon is innovative yet quiet and simple. Stylists and owners are overly dedicated to their client’s needs. “We’re like one big family, staff and clients; it’s just a very fun and comfortable place,” said Rebecca. The hip, laid back environment matched with the innovative technique and the creativity of its stylists, makes All About Me one of the island’s hidden treasures.

So put away any concerns; forget the what ifs; throw caution to the wind; do yourself a favor… Come try All About Me. Why not? You deserve it!
